MGI has an active partnership with the UWI Unit for Disaster Studies, whose Head is MGI Fellow Rafi Ahmad. Together, MGI and UDS have presented several papers, delivered high-profile presentations, and led several field trips. MGI provides hazards-related consultancies to public sector agencies, as well as directly to central and local government organizations. MGI also advises the media, private sector insurance firms, developers, and individuals on site-specific or general hazard matters.
